FUND-A-NEED
Provides essential services for our clients by offering resources to find and maintain housing, apply for medical and income benefits, and file for unemployment claims and rental assistance.
Secures funding for emergency, temporary hotel rooms while our clients await placement into permanent, affordable housing. Also provides cash assistance to protect residents who are at risk of housing insecurity. Affordable housing is healthcare.
One-on-one counseling with our clients to address the diverse, complex barriers they face by helping to navigate the bureaucracy for critical benefits, coordinating at-home meal deliveries, and scheduling nursing visits. For our clients, it provides a place of sanctuary and community.
Assists with obtaining security deposits, first and last month’s rent, and personal items our clients need when they move from unstable or dangerous environments into permanent housing.
Maintains weekly food pantry services for our community’s most vulnerable, disabled, and senior neighbors. A significant 30% increase in the cost of food and essential supplies has challenged our budgetary capacity to meet the growing need of our population seeking help.
Offers our clients the opportunity to build valuable life skills through employment training. Not only does this program maintain neighborhood streets, but volunteers earn food stipends which improve their health and quality of life.
Provides vital daily services to our clients including morning “to-go” meals, clean clothing, basic hygiene supplies, access to restrooms, and a warm place to rest where they feel safe.
In honor of our founder Francis Ford Coppola’s 85th birthday.
